Our Radio Products Group within the Tactical Communications Organization is seeking an in-office

Manager, Verification, Radio Products . You would be responsible for leading a team that is performing white and black box verification of Radio System solutions involving Tactical Radios, Accessories, and User applications for managing Radio Systems and Networks. The successful Manager, Verification, Radio Products will ensure timely and consistent user application and radio product functional verification using manual and automated test methods for TrellisWare and partner vendor radio products. A critical component of this position will be fostering a collaborative development relationship within Radio Products to align verification capabilities with product feature functionality development. The

essential duties and responsibilities

include:

Working with stakeholders at all levels capturing radio product and user application verification requirements, defining verification execution strategies/schedules, tracking and reporting Radio product verification status, and developing risk mitigation plans.A key aspect of developing the verification strategy shall be defining and implementing verification automation and automation improvements to existing verification capabilities.Leading the development of white and black box test case creation/execution, driving verification efficiencies through test automation across the entire TrellisWare and vendor radio product portfolio.Working with developers, system engineers, and verification team members to troubleshoot, debug, and identify fixes for Radio Products.Providing technical leadership and expertise within the Radio Products Group as well as the wider Tactical Communications Organization. In particular driving high technical standards for system understanding of TrellisWare's Radio Products.Establishing and clarifying goals and expectations for team's performance (removes obstacles and provides necessary resources and feedback) to achieve agreed targets and results, and synergistically supports departmental success.Supports and aligns with TrellisWare's Product Development Processes.Develops relationships with team members built on trust and respect.

In addition, the Manager, Verification, Radio Products role requires broad working technical awareness in many of the following areas and deep technical experience in several areas:

Multiple examples of successful project involvement to deliver military or commercial wireless products - Examples: Commercial (GSM, CDMA, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.), Military (TSM, Katana, SRW, WNW, MUOS, Link-16, etc.)Experience with verification of complex wireless systems, including cellular communication systems, military tactical radio systems, satellite radio systems, terrestrial fixed wireless networks, etc.Working experience in HW, SW, Product Verification, and/or Manufacturing disciplines.Extensive experience interfacing with customer/business development for:Radio modem design, simulation, and/or verification.MAC/Networking protocol design, and/or verification.Data & networking protocol design, and/or verification.Applications and services - voice, video, data over wireless networks - performance, throughput, capacity, optimization, error rate robustness.Complex digital hardware design for performance and low-power (FGPA, microprocessor, high-speed memory, multiple power domains, etc).Wireless system network management - configuration, diagnostics, logging, performance analysis.Test automation, test coverage analysis, functional testing, performance testing, stability testing, adversarial testing, UI testing.Multi-band RF hardware design with on-board complex digital subsystem environments.Embedded, real-time firmware development for wireless hand-held, battery-operated devices.Embedded security module and algorithm implementation and/or testing.Development and optimization of manufacturing test programs for high-volume wireless products.Ability to abstract complex, technical concepts and communicate them in a clear, relevant, complete manner to others.Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and interact with a variety of engineering development teams.Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education and work experience requirements are:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering.Minimum of seven years industry experience providing software product verification and three years of technical leadership.

TrellisWare Technologies pays competitively according to the market in an individual's geographic location, in addition to their qualifications and experience. The posted range is for individuals located in the San Diego, CA area. The pay range for this position is: $125-$180k, annually.
