When a developer or user builds new data pipelines, they expect it to run smoothly. Functionality and reliability are key to successful pipeline development, and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, an experienced ETL engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.As an ETL tester on our team, you will perform manual and automation testing in validating data sources, extraction of data, applying transformation logic, and loading data into target tables, working closely with data engineering functions to ensure a sustainable test approach. You’ll work with the DevOps team to integrate the test automation scripts into the GitHub and Jenkins CI/CD pipeline. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.Join us. The world can’t wait.You Have:4+ years of experience with ETL testingExperience in Data Engineering using Spark or PySpark and Data Bricks, Big Data Testing, and Python or PySpark scriptingExperience with AWS Services, such as Glue or EMRExperience with AWS Databases such as RDS PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift, MS SQL Server, or MongoDB DatabaseExperience with complex SQL scripting to validate source or target data load and transformationsExperience with Databricks data pipeline testing with Databricks or Spark framework in AWS cloud infrastructureExperience with different types of testing, including Black Box testing, Smoke testing, Functional testing, System Integration testing, End-to-End testing, Regression testing, User Acceptance testing (UAT), Load testing, Performance testing, or Stress testingExperience with Integration testing and E2E testing among different upstream projectsIRS SuitabilityBachelor’s degreeNice If You Have:Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) on Agile Scrum environmentsExperience using JIRA, Cucumber Gherkin, BDD, or IBM’s ETM or ELM toolsetsExperience with data migration testing automation using tools such as iDQE or Informatica Data ValidationExperience with Selenium Rest Assured API automation testingExperience creating Selenium Automation Frameworks from scratchExperience with DevOps concepts and integrating regression tests as part of the CI/CD pipeline and build processExperience implementing a test automation suite to validate COTS and third-party productsKnowledge of scripting languages such as Python to create automated Test ScriptsKnowledge of non-functional automation testing tools, including JMeter or LoadRunnerVetting:Applicants selected must possess an active IRS Moderate Risk Background Investigation (IRS MBI) and meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client of an IRS MBI; IRS Suitability is required.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
