Category Manager - Machinery & Equipment . As a member of the procurement team, the qualified individual will be responsible for closely collaborating with the logistics and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement throughout our logistics category. To learn more about our company culture, philosophy, and benefits, please visit our company page.Responsibilities:Responsible for developing and executing detailed category strategy based on the business needs and effective procurement principles.Identify, engage and align with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, quality or other business partners) to capture category requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality.Execute sourcing activities for all machinery and equipment spend including development of bid cadence, bid execution, contracting, supplier management and continuous improvement initiatives.Manage strategic relationships with suppliers to achieve efficient, reliable, and cost-effective Machinery and Equipment solutions.Actively monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial, capacity, quality and compliance.Perform quarterly business reviews for all strategic suppliers within the machinery and equipment space.Responsible for delivering category productivity through price, value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects.As a hybrid position, work on campus is required for 2-3 days per week.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Contract Management, Sourcing or Equipment Engineering.Strong mathematical aptitude with analytical skills. Ability to perform data analysis using MS Excel and/or SQL.Ability to travel up to 20%.Desired Qualifications:3+ years equipment, machinery, or MRO-related sourcing experience via consulting, buyer, business, and/or analyst experience.Demonstrate success with implementing transformations, change management, problem solving and process thinking.Demonstrate experience managing a cross-functional team.Oracle experience in a global environment.
