Overview:The Director of Power Distribution will oversee every aspect of the organization’s power distribution and substation projects, ensuring the effective design, construction, and management of power services. This remote role is ideally suited for candidates residing in Florida or the southern states, as occasional travel to project sites will be necessary. The position highlights the importance of experience in substation construction and engineering, with a strong preference for individuals who possess specialized expertise in battery storage initiatives.Responsibilities:Lead and manage the Power Services department including engineering and construction teams, to ensure the successful execution of power distribution and substation projects.Develop and implement strategies to optimize project efficiency and meet industry standards in power distribution.Work closely with senior management to align the division’s objectives with overall company goals.Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of power distribution and substation projects.Coordinate with project managers to ensure all phases of construction—from design to completion—meet quality and performance requirements.Manage project risks by identifying potential issues early and implementing mitigation strategies.Provide technical direction for power distribution and substation engineering design, construction, and maintenance.Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies in power distribution and advise on their potential integration.Mentor and develop engineering and project management teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.Provide training and development opportunities for staff to stay current with industry trends and best practices.Oversee financial reporting and project cost analysis, ensuring the division operates within financial goals.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).Experience in power distribution, substation construction, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Having experience with battery storage will provide a significant advantage.Proven experience managing large-scale construction and engineering projects, preferably in the power services sector.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution networks, and substation engineering.If it sounds like a great opportunity, look below to see what’s in it for you:Collaborative Environment: Thrive in a team-oriented setting with supportive colleagues and a positive atmosphere.Innovative Work Culture: Join a team that encourages creativity, innovative thinking, and unique solutions.Continuous Learning: Engage with new concepts, ideas, and frameworks through diverse projects that challenge you to excel.
