Come work on the Amazon Prime Air Team!Prime Air is seeking a Sr. Product Manager Tech to enable a new shopping experience for drone delivery. You will be responsible for driving critical features from ideation to launch, requiring alignment across multiple cross-organizational stakeholders. As a new mode of transportation for Amazon, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact our future customers and business as we scale.Successful candidates will have a strong sense of customer obsession, dive deep, ownership, and a demonstrated track record of driving cross-functional projects. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and innovating in a new industry on behalf of our customers. This role will focus on driving top-line conversion across our US sites, working backward from the customer, establishing mechanisms to collect data, and defining direction to optimize the shopping funnel. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product management, UX design, legal, and finance, navigating trade-offs and prioritization conversations with tech stakeholders to drive the right long-term strategic vision for the program and customers.
Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
Key job responsibilities:- Launch net-new shopping experiences for drone delivery customers.- Establish mechanisms to better understand our customers, what's working well, and pain-points within the customer experience.- Own the roadmap strategy/definition based on customer insights and prioritize features/enhancements based on customer and business impact.- Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and key external partner teams to drive buy-in and influence roadmaps.- Collaborate with Regulatory, Legal, and Public Policy teams to customize solutions that meet requirements from international governing bodies.- Identify opportunities to scale initiatives and/or drive optimizations across our future international launches.
A day in the life:The successful candidate will be input focused, isolating and correlating inputs to achieve impactful outputs, building closed-loop processes to ensure product and process adoption. S/he will have a proven ability to assess situations and guide teams toward both short-term and long-term systemic changes. The ideal candidate will possess an analytic, statistical, and optimization background to enable strategic planning and service initiatives. In this role, you will experience a wide range of problem-solving situations, requiring extensive use of data collection and analysis.
Minimum qualifications:- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.- Experience with feature delivery and trade-offs of a product.- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.- Experience managing technical products or online services.- Experience advocating for various critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.- Experience using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, or QuickSight.- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools.- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, or statistics.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
