Day to Day
In this role, you will collaborate closely with our California and National Planning leadership to identify project opportunities and lead high-impact projects. Your responsibilities will include:Developing and maintaining client relationships and pursuing new business opportunities in Southern California.Leading project teams to deliver innovative active, multimodal, and sustainable transportation projects, including safety action plans, active transportation plans, corridor charettes and trail studies.Overseeing project delivery, balancing workload within the team, and coordinating with staff across the country to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet scopes and budgets.Contributing to the growth of our California practice through strategic project leadership and collaboration.
Qualifications
RequiredThis position requires a combination of skills, experience and education including, but not limited to:Bachelor’s degree in Planning or a related field.12+ years of experience in a consulting environment or public entity managing large projects, with 3+ years as a Project Manager.Experience in active, non-motorized transportation.Strong understanding of the planning process and project management principles.Proven ability to identify business development opportunities and enhance Alta’s market position.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects within budgetary and schedule constraints.Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, presentation, and analytical skills.Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Adobe Creative Suite, ESRI ArcGIS, or similar products.Ability and willingness to travel.There are a number of additional skills, experience, and education that would be beneficial to this position including, but not limited to:Master’s degree in Urban Planning or a related field.Experience using Deltek Vision.

CompensationThe pay range for this job in

$120,000-$140,000
annually. Placement within the range is based upon experience, skill-sets, and qualifications.
