Hogan Lovells is currently seeking a Recruitment Assistant who will be responsible for supporting the Associate Recruiting team, with a focus on D.C.-based law student and lateral hiring, operations, and other legal recruitment efforts. This individual will sit in and work primarily with the Associate Recruitment Manager in the Washington office, the U.S. recruiting team, and other departments within the firm. This position will also collaborate on special projects and recruitment initiatives as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment & Outreach

Register for and coordinate on-campus interviews, job fairs, hospitality suites, and other recruiting events at select law schools. Prepare OCI materials for interviewers and coordinate/track follow up activities.Liaise with summer associates and HL lawyers to schedule, coordinate, and troubleshoot summer associate virtual and/or in-office interviews as needed. May be asked to support lateral associate, judicial clerk, attorney, and/or patent agent interview coordination as needed. Keep managers, relevant practice groups, law school team leaders, and recruitment committee members informed of candidate statuses.Oversee candidate travel, student reimbursements, and expense reconciliation.Track candidate outcomes, offer outreach, and follow up events (including second visits, lunches, dinners and/or receptions).Assist offices with post-season reporting which may include pulling and analyzing metrics, reviewing survey results, preparing interview outcome reports, and updating school summaries.Help coordinate new hire onboarding by acting as a point person with the internal HL resources (including, among others, Finance, Benefits, IT, HL Learn, and Research Services), preparing pre-arrival documentation, and overseeing orientation in collaboration with the team.Manage online application system to include entering candidate applications and pipeline notes, processing applications, uploading documents, and sending status update communications.Assist with designing and planning the Summer Associate Program, including organizing and attending events throughout the summer and assisting with the execution of the US Summer Associate Conference.Assist with the coordination of, and participate in, assigned school team activities.Greet applicants upon arrival, provide office tours and escort applicants to interviews.Communicate with Associate Recruitment Department members to share local activities and incorporate into broader department initiatives.General

Keep abreast of changes in firm policies and procedures as they apply to the attorney recruitment process and implement changes as needed.Monitor industry and DC region market trends and update manager and/or department accordingly.Update and organize recruitment information, including informational reference materials for internal use by firm personnel.Track and process one time payments for signing bonus installments and referral bonuses.Handle additional department administrative responsibilities and support special projects as needed.Participate in volunteer activities as outlined in the firm's Global Responsible Business program.QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications

One (1)+ year of legal or administrative experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferredStrong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.Strong written and oral communication skills with a service-oriented approach. Must have the ability to communicate and interact with candidates, all levels of firm personnel, and external entities in a courteous and professional manner.Ability to work independently, juggle multiple assignments, and adapt to changing priorities.Must be able to work collaboratively with team members and other firm personnel across offices and across multiple departments.Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.Ability to exercise discretion, good judgment, flexibility, and maintain confidential information at all times.Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.Experience with databases and applicant tracking systems including Simplicity, viRecruit, LawCruit and/or Workday is preferred.

HOURS

Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., including one hour for lunch, with flexibility for overtime as needed, particularly from May through August.

The annualized salary range for this position is $49,500 to $59,300 depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. In addition, full time employees as well as some part time employees, will be eligible for the firm's fringe benefits as they currently exist.
