TiO? makes possible opacity, brightness and durability in a variety of end uses like coatings, plastics and paper.As a Procurement Specialist within the procurement team, this role is responsible for the procurement of capital expenditure and logistics spend. One key requirement is to ensure the delivery of maximum value in the sourcing and contracting of CAPEX material and services while managing risk and supporting project plans. The other key requirement is to be responsible for the negotiation and management of logistics services and contracts including truck, rail, ocean and other relevant modes of transportation. The role is accountable for the strategic development, negotiation, delivery, and ongoing management of key third party goods and services providers.Qualifications:BS degree in Engineering, supply chain management, operations management, business administration preferred.Previous CAPEX/Project and Logistics procurement 5 or more years experience in a large complex manufacturing environment, dealing with contract negotiation and management desirable.Well-formed understanding of procurement and logistics industry and terminology.Must be knowledgeable of procurement work processes and be fully capable of demonstrating the ability to efficiently interface with business management software (SAP).Demonstrated skills and abilities to define, measure, and solve technically complex issues - often with severe time constraints.Excellent written, oral, interpersonal communication, technical aptitude, and negotiation skills are required.The position requires strong working knowledge of Microsoft packages, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Technical SkillsTechnical proficiency that enables a working understanding of engineered equipment and services required to deliver CAPEX projects.Experienced in developing strategies, tendering and post contract award management, to include claims management, for engineered equipment, materials, and services.Familiar with Total Cost of Ownership conceptsDeep understanding of cost drivers in contracts to demonstrate transparency, overall value and manage risk.Experienced with all levels of logistics including truck, rail, ocean and other relevant modes of transportation.Experienced in managing performance KPIs with carriers.Experience with dealing with a multi-point distribution model that requires knowledge of international shipments, customs and all associated documentation.Expert, advanced negotiation skills and techniques.Sound understanding of company policies and safety standards.Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, SAP & Database analysis would be advantageous.
