At the McWane family of companies, we make ductile iron products, including pipe, valves, hydrants, fittings and plumbing products, and manufacture fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems and steel pressure vessels. Our major plants by industry include three pipe facilities, three valve and hydrant facilities, seven soil pipe and utility fittings facilities, three tank manufacturing facilities, and one fire suppression equipment facility. Join the McWane team on the journey to The McWane Way.Position OverviewThe Group Director, Human Resources strategically promotes the McWane culture initiatives throughout all McWane facilities. Provides expertise, guidance, and support driving the Corporate HR goals, competency, integrity and approachability, inclusion, and all aspects of talent management. Overall objective to an engaged and sustainable team.Responsibilities:Group Director, HR will be influential in communication and building rapport with HR teams and leaders at the McWane facilities. They will also provide expertise and counsel to assigned McWane facilities on:Continuous improvementAccess line support with investigationsHR audits reviews, identifying compliance requirements and recommendations to the HR team.Assess the HR teams for development opportunities.Training, facilitation, and coaching to all teams at the facility.Mentoring all aspects of Human ResourcesThe McWane Way Principles and BehaviorsMaintain regular visits (annual is minimum) to facilities and supervise communication channels to ensure clarity and continued relationship building.Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in human resources, business, communications, or related field or with applicable level of work experience.Minimum 10 years of dynamic HR, preferably in a manufacturing industry.Minimum 2 years of HR team leadership experience.Consistent track record in providing leadership in manufacturing settings including effective communication and social skills.Experience in HCM systems.Knowledge of HR law practices at state and federal levels.Willingness to travel (average 40%).
