The Hammondsport Central School District is seeking an outstanding educational leader to fill the position of Superintendent of Schools. The successful candidate will:demonstrate strong leadership ability and is comfortable leading instructional initiatives;communicate openly, honestly and effectively with all stakeholders;have an understanding of rural education and is an advocate for all children;have experience with fiscal management, personnel management and collective negotiations;be viewed by the Board and the community as being invested, honest and a person of high integrity;have experience in long range planning, goal setting, and facilities projects;have a commitment to embed themselves in the community of Hammondsport.Although residency is not required, investment in the school community is vital.
