A Pediatric Rheumatologist at our Peoria campus will be part of a large pediatric group providing ambulatory and inpatient care to pediatric patients with rheumatologic illnesses. There are opportunities to partner with the adult Rheumatologist at OSF Saint Francis Hospital and build collaborative partnerships with other children's hospitals in Illinois. The department is committed to supporting research and educational needs of the successful candidate.Position SummaryPediatric Rheumatologist to provide ambulatory and inpatient care to pediatric patients with rheumatologic illnesses at the Children's Hospital of Illinois.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide acute and ongoing consultative care to children that have rheumatologic illnesses in both the hospital and outpatient settings.Participate in education and training programs for medical students and residents and fellows in the Department of Pediatrics.Participate in collaborative research activities of the Division of Rheumatology and department.Perform other duties of a university faculty member including committee assignments, curriculum development, and student counseling.Minimum QualificationsProvide acute and ongoing consultative care to children that have rheumatologic illnesses in both the hospital and outpatient settings.Participate in education and training programs for medical students and residents and fellows in the Department of Pediatrics.Participate in collaborative research activities of the Division of Rheumatology and department.Perform other duties of a university faculty member including committee assignments, curriculum development, and student counseling.About University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria (UICOMP) Department of Pediatrics and OSF Healthcare Children's Hospital of Illinois:UICOMP is one of the three regional campuses of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, one of the largest public medical schools in the country.
