We are looking for a dynamic and motivated
General Manager 3 - Food
to lead the charge of food operations supporting MEDCOM at Fort Irwin, CA
located near Barstow, CA . The ideal candidate will have a culinary background and operational management or general manager experience from a healthcare food service environment with patient and retail operations experience. Hours of operation are 6 AM to 6:30 PM seven days a week. Retail operations are open for breakfast & lunch M-F. This is a non-union account and will be working directly with the client. The successful candidate will: have oversight of day-to-day operations; deliver high-quality food service; achieve company and client financial targets and goals; develop and maintain client and customer relationships; manage patient and retail operations; become familiar with online ordering and/or Army ordering process; develop strategic plans; ensure compliance with TB Med 530, NSF, TJC; create a positive environment; ensure Sodexo standards are met. We are looking for candidates who: have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively; are Serve Safe Certified (required); have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance; can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service; prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS). Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education, and training.
