Our North Carolina Division is seeking to hire a Civil Engineer Project Manager. This is an experienced position involving exciting, challenging, and complex assignments with outstanding growth opportunities. The ideal candidate must be a Seller/Doer and maintain good industry connections and relationships. Strong Management and Design skills are required. The Project Manager will develop and communicate design concepts from the Client to the staff of Designers and Engineers and ensure the project delivery. This is a management and production position, one requiring skills and experience in land development design and engineering. The Civil Engineer Project Manager will see the project through from scope to final design and assist the construction administration team as required.Location

This position will report to our Charlotte office at least 3 days a week.The Impact You Will Have

Coordinate all activities with Sr. Project Managers, the Group Manager, and the Division ManagerBusiness Development and Marketing, including networking, preparation of SOQs, proposals, and contractsManage Design Consultants and ClientsDevelop Concepts or schematic designs, including layout, grading, hydrology, and utilities.Research local/ State regulations as they pertain to site planningResearch non-routine code issues and obtain interpretations from code officialsIncorporate design concepts from schematic design into design development and work with the project team to produce construction documentsWhat You Will Need

12+ years of industry experienceB.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline requiredProficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D softwareMust be licensed PE in the state of NCExcellent communication, strong written, oral, and client relation skills, experience interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholdersUnderstanding and knowledge of applicable codesExperienced in Project Management, including design cost control, project budget control, and quality assurance/quality controlAble to successfully manage staff both individually and as teamsExperience working with public agencies, private entities, and/or municipalitiesDesign experience with site development and other best practicesStrong organization and leadership skillsAccustomed to working in a team environment on challenging projects#LI-MF1Explore the Benefits of Working at Benesch!
