Standards of Performance and Goals:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing complex cross-functional projects for the Credit Union. Along with the Manager of PMO & Facilities, the Senior Project Manager will establish new processes and procedures to effectively manage projects from proposal through implementation. The position provides project leadership ensuring adherence to the Project Management Office (PMO) to include the development of project plans and specifications, assigning, leading, and assisting business area managers in the implementation, testing and training of technology solutions.
Proactively design, develop and implement PMO processes and standards which will be adopted by the PMO and leveraged during all project phases.
Effectively apply SMB's Project Management Methodology by acting as Project Leader on select organizational projects to include definition of project scope, requirements, and process workflow. Project Leader responsible for the monitoring and application of Project Management standards and directing project participants, through the use of coaching and mentoring to ensure the successful completion of a project, on-time and within budget to include positive Project Critique feedback.
Provide periodic and regular reporting of the status of assigned organizational projects to include progress vs. plan, unexpected issues or delays, resource utilization/allocation and actual vs. planned costs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business, or related field.
Minimum three to five years of project management work experience, Certified associate in project management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
A strong track record in successfully leading project teams in the selection and implementation of complex technologies.
Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work cooperatively with internal and external business area managers.
