Responsible to underwriting conventional and portfolio loans using industry standard and portfolio underwriting guidelines. Attend periodic training to keep current with industry standard underwriting guidelines and Government regulations.Responsible for using available technology to assist in the underwriting process like Early Check, Desktop Underwriter, Uniform Collateral Data Portal, and Condo Project Manager.Responsible to ensure loans are loans are efficiently underwritten meeting current service standards as agreed upon. Results to be measured by quality control, scorecards and audit reports.Qualifications:

Minimum High School diploma and 1-3 years of experience in mortgage underwriting using Secondary Market, private mortgage insurance, and State agency.Complete knowledge and understanding of all State and Federal compliance lending regulations.Must be able to work independently and as a team, under pressure and be detail oriented.Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, as well as strong analytical ability with emphasis on detail.Computer experience required, Microsoft Office, Fannie Mae Technology Applications and related experience in Mortgage Lending Software.Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
