What We're Looking For
The Senior Associate AD for Revenue Generation and Business Development holds the crucial role of providing strategic leadership to key areas that drive revenue for Baylor Athletics. This position will oversee the strategic direction and day-to-day activities of the Baylor Bear Foundation (the primary fundraising arm for Baylor Athletics supporting more than 500 student-athletes across 19 intercollegiate sports), along with Ticket Sales and Operations. The position will oversee the "B" Association, a membership organization for former Baylor University athletes who have earned athletic letters. The role will be responsible for assisting with major gifts fundraising efforts for Athletics led by University Advancement. Finally, the position will oversee the university’s third-party multimedia rights relationship with Playfly Sports.
A Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant work experience are required. A Master’s degree and eight years of experience are preferred. A combination of experience will be considered in lieu of the education requirement.
Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.
What You Will Do
Provide strategic oversight of the Bear Foundation, which includes Fundraising, Parking, Premium Seating, Excellence Funds, Big Wheel Car Program, and Donor Stewardship, Communication & Events.
In partnership with the Deputy Director of Athletics, develop, manage, execute, and evaluate the annual fundraising plan for Baylor Athletics.
Lead strategic planning for annual gifts, including identifying new prospects, cultivating current and prospective donors, solidifying gift commitments, and stewarding current and new donors, along with managing a specified portfolio of key constituents.
Collaborate with University Advancement staff to further university‐wide fundraising goals and effectively promote engagement and philanthropy, and broad-based donor communications.
Elevate and engage Deputy AD as needed in relevant donor conversation or fundraising initiative prospects.
Provide strategic guidance to the Associate AD for Resource Development in setting annual fundraising goals, visits, proposals, and other appropriate metrics.
Provide strategic oversight of sport-specific and special initiative fundraising as needed.
Provide strategic leadership for season ticket holder and donor cultivation and communication.
Oversee Ticket Sales team and their efforts to maximize fan attendance at Baylor events in collaboration with Athletics Marketing to generate ongoing, annual revenue.
Oversee Ticket Operations, ensuring smooth and consistent customer experiences for ticket holders in premium and general areas at all ticketed home events and select away, neutral site or postseason competitions.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.
Ability to comply with University policies.
