Site LeaderJob Summary:
The Site Leader will supervise a 7/24/365 high pressure boiler operation, ancillary equipment, maintenance team, custodians, and sub-contractors performing assigned work. Coordinate with Maintenance technicians on planning and completion of jobs assigned through the site’s CMMS. Provide feedback and advise General Manager of all pertinent plant issues.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Manage central plant boiler room operationsMonitor operation of assigned equipmentCoordinate and supervise sub-contractor workEnsure that team members stay current on all assigned trainingResearch parts and planning for corrective work ordersOther assignments as requested by clientsWriting and checking Safe Work Permits (SWP’s)Qualifications:HS diploma plus college, vocational degree, MOS certification, or equivalent experience in central plant boiler room operationsMinimum of 10 years supervisory experienceDrivers license. OSHA 10 or 30 hour card is preferred. ASOPE license preferredAble to read and write EnglishBoiler operation. HVAC knowledge a plusBasic computer skillsExtensive knowledge of high-pressure steam boiler operation and monitoringAir compressors, pumps and motorsWater treatment systemsAbility to communicate in a professional mannerPhysical Demands:Regularly required to stand; walk; climb ladders and stairs; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Frequently is required to climb or balance. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.The work environment can be hot and humid in the summer and cold in the winter. Hardhats, safety glasses, gloves, long sleeves, steel-toed shoes and FRC clothing are the minimum PPE requirement at all times. Hazards are identified throughout plant for your safety and protection.
