Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) is looking for an experienced Global Commodity Manager to support business growth in managing Lenovo’s portfolio of data center alliances and suppliers.The Global Commodity Manager (GCM) is responsible for interfacing with Lenovo cross functional teams to understand their requirements and selecting, negotiating, contracting and managing the supplier relationships. This key role will lead supplier sourcing and selection activities while successfully managing the supplier relationship to ensure that the supply chain is capable of delivering high quality, cost effective and stable supply materials.Basic Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience7+ years’ experience in a commodity manager or purchasing role in either high-tech manufacturing, consumer electronics, or supply chainPreferred Requirements:Direct sourcing experience in NIC/RAID/Networking commodities is preferredStrong understanding of industry, supplier complexity and global sourcing processesExcellent analytical, communication, presentation and negotiation skillsStrong ability to develop sourcing and supplier management strategiesAbility to close complex issues in a timely manner
