Civil/Municipal Project Manager
to work as a member of our growing office in Houston or Corpus Christi, TX.Primary Responsibilities:In the role of
Civil/Municipal Project Manager , we'll count on you to:Be involved with the production and coordination of several projects concurrently.Lead engineering/process design, project coordination, determine and write engineering specifications, plan work, establish appropriate design methods, prepare and coordinate reports, size and select equipment, and work directly with the owners and clients.Establish client relations and be involved with leading marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines, and be responsible for coordinating staffing/workload through the entire project's development to complete documents on schedule and within budget.Work with Business/Accounting Managers, Project Controllers or Company Controllers and the Area Manager and Managing Principal for project reviews.Implement QA/QC procedures, and execute training for personnel as established by strategic plans and objectives.Mentor local project staff that are less experienced Project Managers to help develop their professional growth.Serve as client manager for several strategic clients within the central Texas region.Perform other duties as needed.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering.Minimum of 7 years' experience designing and supporting implementation of municipal projects.Minimum 2 years of project management experience.PE required.Experience with Microsoft Office applications and other civil engineering software as appropriate.Project Engineering and Project Management experience.Demonstrated leadership, good verbal and written communication skills.Good technical writing skills.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.Preferred Qualifications:Master's desirable.Preference given to local Houston, TX candidates.Why HDR:At HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for it's also about what you do and how you do it.
