Provide overall leadership direction to a project; including the management of project quality, timeliness, safety, as well as mentoring the project team. Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service.Manage the overall financial health of projects, including subcontracts and suppliers

Develop and maintain project financial projections and equipment projectionsDetermine and allocate project estimate into financial systemIdentify cost codes, approve invoices, and make necessary budget management decisionsProvide financials and billings to Accounting for timely paymentCreate monthly owner billingsMaintain budget for and make selections of trade partners and suppliersHandle billings and contract management, including contract buyoutsMaintain schedule and budget until project completionProvide high level management of quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team membersLead Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s)

Provide job assignments and facilitate career developmentApprove time cards for on-site team membersProvide ongoing feedback of work performanceFunction as the main point of contact with the owner and on-site representative

Assist with the review of the owner agreementResolve site concerns for the owner or representativeProvide frequent interactions and service to build positive relationships and future work opportunitiesDetermine when to submit to the owner or on-site representativesObtain the customer/architect’s approvalEffectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsLead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performanceQualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experienceMinimum six years of construction management or related experienceProven ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for complex projectsDetail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasksPossess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesMicrosoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate levelAbility to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesActive listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedbackMortenson provides a comprehensive benefits program to team members and their families to support their health, build long-term financial security and provide the opportunity for work and life balance.
