The
Director, Marketing Operations
is responsible for overseeing and enhancing Brother’s go-to-market strategies and product lifecycle marketing support across a variety of divisions, business units and product lines, with a focus on campaign ideation, performance optimization, and scalability. This role leads transformative initiatives across the go-to-market organization and fosters collaboration among diverse stakeholders as a trusted thought leader.
This role directly manages the Marketing Communications team, supporting various business groups. In addition, this role partners with Product Marketing, functional subject matter experts, and marketing leadership to identify and drive operational initiatives forward. This position will align people, processes, data and technology for Brother International Corporation.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Deliver and Optimize Performance of High-Impact Campaigns
Lead the definition, planning, development, coordination and execution of strategic, multi-channel marketing campaigns and model-driven journey orchestration, with a focus on experimentation, analysis, and optimization, in partnership with other members of the Marketing Operations team and external agencies to meet defined goals and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions, track KPIs, and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
Ensure accurate data flow from campaigns to attribution and reporting frameworks by standardizing campaign operations
Maximize the potential of marketing technology through automation, integration, enablement and maintaining data accuracy
Partner closely with cross functional leads on long term go-to-market planning and support campaign processes—from planning to implementation to execution
Use tools to develop structured systems that drive efficiency and transparency across the company and translate workflow needs into repeatable methods
Strategic Process Leadership
Lead with operational rigor; set the standard for project management with clearly defined project scope(s), business requirement(s), definition(s) for all projects/workflow, on time and in coordination with business stakeholders
Coordinate cross-functional resources, establishing and managing project timelines and deliverables to ensure all projects are appropriately scoped, are resourced and scheduled appropriately, delivered on time, aligned with budget and to the division’s vision
Effectively manage the planning and allocation of marketing budget and resources across available talent, vendors, and internal/external support to optimize return on investment (ROI) and ability to scale
Drive performance improvements and process efficiencies, including the creation and management of cross-functional project plans
Talent Management
Lead the Marketing Communications team to ensure the development and implementation of core business, competitive, and brand marketing plans and strategies to achieve overall company objectives
Create a productive and efficient environment providing leadership, inspiration and coaching to all team members
Develop and implement a strategic vision for marketing operations aligning this to the overall company goals and objectives
Conduct talent audits, identifying skill gaps, providing a plan for upskilling team, aligned with industry best practices, innovations in marketing, and advancements in technology
ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
Education
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Experience
Minimum 10 years combination of relevant experience spanning the following areas:
Experience leading or directing a Marketing Communications function for a mid-sized organization
Experience leading and managing teams
Experience with process improvement, optimization, and documentation
Other Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
Ability to align various stakeholders and build trusted relationships
Ability to manage multiple work streams and dependencies
In-depth knowledge of campaign processes and project management
In-depth knowledge of how to make everyday operations more efficient, more digital, and more scalable
Ability to execute and deliver on strategic plans and operational improvements
Ability to build, lead, and manage teams to high performance expectations
Strong communication skills (verbal/written/interpersonal)
Strong presentation skills, with the ability to present across all levels of the business
Ability to manage to a budget
ADDITIONAL DETAILS FOR THIS ROLE
This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers.
The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $140,000 - $175,000 per year
Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives
