In this vital role you will be responsible for managing a global network of Transport Service Providers to ensure we deliver on our promise of “Every patient every time”. The team partners with collaborators inside and outside Amgen to build a controlled distribution network, in a reliable, cost effective and compliant manner. We operate in a dynamic, changing environment that offers fantastic opportunities for expanding your supply chain knowledge, building innovative solutions and delivering exceptional operational performance.Responsibilities:
Ensure uninterrupted supply through transport deliverables on compliance, safely and sustainablyFollow and lead by example the operations strategic framework of Reliability, Efficiency, Agility and DifferentiationSupport management framework to measure, visualize, improve and drive accountability of performance improvement and cost with third-party providersDrive Transport Management system (TMS) /process enhancements partnering with DTI Product OwnersMaintain strong ties with local Global Supply Hubs, Quality and Regional Supply Chain to align, understand and balance local and global needsFind opportunities and assess impact of technologies, best practices, regulations, trends and events for Amgen’s business processesDevelop, manage, drive, promote and implement portfolio, roadmap and individual initiatives in relation to TMSShowcase continuous improvement attitude to identify savings and system or process improvements and get results to the finish lineIdentify key collaborators and ensure they are informed, involved and committed to the TMS strategy and initiativesCollaborate with functions and sites to achieve the best results for AmgenDrive network collaboration, sharing and advancementSupport development of global process blueprint and training, driving standardization for global distributionWhat we expect of you

Master’s degree and 2 years of Supply Chain/ Business Performance experienceOr
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Supply Chain/ Business Performance experienceOr
Associate’s degree and 8 years of Supply Chain/ Business Performance experienceOr
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Supply Chain/ Business Performance experiencePreferred Qualifications:Six sigma Green/Black belt, FMEA, OE tools, risk managementUnderstanding of end-to-end supply chain, oversee processes beyond functionUnderstanding logistics processes transport providersCultural awarenessProblem solver with high sense of responsibilityTechnical writing skillsWhat you can expect from us
