About the Position:We are looking for a VP of Product Management to join the team and help build our next generation of student transportation software applications. In this role, you will own and manage a product line, creatively solve business problems, have a keen eye for product design and cross-functionally collaborate with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to build scalable and secure products.
Responsibilities:
Lead, manage and mentor a team of product managers, UI/UX designers, and related personnel.
Collaborate closely with the cross-functional team (Sales, operations, marketing, field) to inform product strategy.
Own the product roadmap and communicate with C-level staff, board members, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Partner with the PMO to plan and assign tasks and deliverables.
Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle management, from ideation to launch and beyond, across multiple product lines.
Lead, define, represent and communicate product strategy to all stakeholders.
Assess product development sprints and enhance opportunities.
Establish and monitor KPIs, budgets, forecasts, and product metrics to measure product success and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Partner with engineering to assess product development sprints and uncover opportunities for product enhancements and optimizations.
Collaborate with Marketing to drive the product marketing strategy, including product-market fit, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning.
Partner with the business to define pricing and competitive positioning across the range of products and services.
Leverage analytics and key performance metrics to inform product decisions, track product performance, and measure success.
Foster a culture of experimentation and iteration, encouraging the use of A/B testing, customer feedback loops, and performance metrics to optimize products on an ongoing basis.
Identify and assess potential risks (technical, market-related, or resource-based) and develop strategies to mitigate those risks while ensuring the product stays on course.
Build incredible teams, processes, and culture to deliver products that satisfy customer needs.
Participate in press activities, conferences, discussions with thought leaders and market analysts.
Salary Range:$190,000-$210,000 base salary, depending on experience.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and a mix of 6+ years working with a technology company required.
8+ years in Product Management with substantial experience in senior leadership and management positions.
Strategic & creative thinking with the ability to craft go-to-market strategies and campaigns in partnership with Marketing.
Demonstrated knowledge of operational issues (portfolio management, risk management, etc.).
Proven experience in crafting and executing global product strategies that drive business growth.
Customer-centric mindset with the ability to advocate for user experience throughout the product development process.
Demonstrated success in using data-driven methodologies to transform product vision into actionable roadmaps.
People leader with demonstrated success in leading and mentoring the research, design, and development team.
Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
Understanding of user experience and design.
Direct experience with SaaS Platforms, Enterprise Platforms, Managed Services enabling workflow and automation solutions.
Able to distill product roadmaps into digestible and relevant presentations to key customers and partners.
Drive product analytics to understand feature usage, comprehension, and optimization.
Excellent verbal and oral communication skills, with the ability to translate complex product concepts into concise, impactful narratives for diverse audiences.
