The Daiso Store Manager will oversee the daily operations of your assigned store. The Store Manager will ensure the smooth running of store operations to maximize sales and minimize costs. An effective store manager will be able to motivate all store personnel to perform according to their maximum capability. The goal is to manage our store in ways that boost revenues and develop the businessEssential Functions:Develop business strategies to raise our customer’s pool, expand store traffic, increase basket size and optimize profitabilityMeet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staffEnsure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent customer serviceComplete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and proceduresMaintain outstanding store condition, plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displaysUpholds Daiso's standards for display presentationConduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career pathsDeal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc)Managing the store, both retail and company, inventory, including loss prevention through theft and breakageTraining new employees and providing ongoing education for employeesEffectively create store schedules to meet customer demand while meeting payroll targetsCreate employee schedules, assign schedules and responsibilities to associates, checking to see if these assignments are carried throughRecruiting, interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and offboarding poor-performing staff
RequirementsHigh School Diploma/GED1-3+ Years of Relevant ExperienceKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities RequirementsProven experience as a retail manager or in other managerial positionKnowledge of retail management best practicesOutstanding communication and interpersonal abilitiesExcellent organizing and leadership skills
