ABOUT THE POSITION

This role uses strong interpersonal and leadership skills to drive process improvements and implementation in the areas of Operational Planning, Analysis, Execution, and Strategy. Utilizing in-depth knowledge of business and ERP systems, investigate, analyze, and provide solutions to the group that best utilize and leverage the resources from all sites. The Strategic Planning & Analysis Director will drive customer satisfaction and profitability through continuous focus on business process improvement.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

Develop & implement world class production planning processes and systems. Support all Group sites in creating common planning processes, systems, & procedures that best utilize operational resources.

Support the Group VP of Operations and Senior Leadership Team as a subject matter expert in the areas of planning, analysis, reporting, and S&OP.

Responsible for the group level Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for all IPS Group sites. Supports the General Managers and operations teams in determination of necessary resources required to meet customer demand at appropriate efficiency levels.

Utilize data to analyze production capacity at and across each site in the group. Deliver recommendations to stakeholders that best utilize human and capital assets.

Utilize strong cross-functional ERP expertise to facilitate and implement best in class system driven operational process. Serve as an ERP key/super user for the group to drive integration, training, and acceptance of these processes.

Work with site and group Supply Chain Management to utilize new, ERP driven methods to aid in analysis, monitoring, and improvement of raw, WIP, and finished goods inventory. Aid in development and implementation of sustainable system and process improvements.

Develop and implement reports and dashboards for senior operational management and strategic business partners.

Responsible for the development of KPIs in order to facilitate analysis and reporting of performance against budgets, plans, and strategic objectives.

Lead the development and ongoing management of the site and group level Program (Project) Management portfolio. Facilitate and implement project rankings systems based on identified business criteria.

Lead projects and project teams in the areas of responsibility. Embrace, train, and lead others in Project Management Methodology.

Identify “front office” process & systems improvements that improve lead time of critical data delivery to Manufacturing Operations. Utilizes Operational Excellence, Project Management, and Lean tools and techniques to drive waste from processes.

To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a business, logistics, or technical discipline and 10 years of directly related experience. A Master’s Degree in business is desirable.

8+ years’ experience developing, building, and delivering strategic and financial analysis and KPI reporting.

Superior analytical, problem identification, and problem resolution skills.

Expert/Key user level knowledge and experience of ERP system functionality (Oracle preferred) and Microsoft Office tools. Expert level in use of Microsoft Excel and associate programming (VBA) skills.

Experience with and demonstrated success in project delivery and use of Project Management tools and Methodologies.

Experience to forge strong partnerships throughout the organization, influence leaders, and support/train teams without direct authority.

Current APICS certification highly desirable (CPIM, CSCP, CPF).

Ability to bring together cross-functional groups and gain consensus.

Strong understanding of fundamentals of supply chain management: Forecasting, Process Improvement, Inventory Management, Lean Manufacturing, Project Management.

Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including technical, professional, and upper management.

Flexibility to rapidly adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.

Ability to reduce complex procedures into simplified form to train and educate others.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Must be able to solve problems at both a strategic and functional level.

Must be able to organize and manage multiple projects and priorities.

Must be able to plan strategically. And lead the execution of the strategy.

Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills are required.

Must be able to work satisfactorily as a team member.

Ability to effectively speak publicly and make presentations is required.
