Vassar College offers a comprehensive benefits package for administrators which includes:22 vacation days for full-time employees – prorated if not full-time, unlimited paid personal and sick time for use at the supervisor’s approval.14 paid holidays per year which includes the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.A choice of three health plans (EPO, PPO, High Deductible), Participation in FSA, Dependent Care, and Transit programs.Voluntary, employee-paid dental insurance plan.Life Insurance and Voluntary Supplemental Life Insurance.Employer-paid short-term and long-term disability programs.New hires will be automatically enrolled in the SRA at a 4% employee contribution per paycheck.Responsibilities:Develop and implement a comprehensive system of scheduled stewardship strategies for principal gift donors, enhancing existing Vassar stewardship processes and aligning with fundraising goals.Expand senior-level stewardship for principal gift-rated prospects and donors by creating a customized schedule of meaningful communications and touchpoints.Assist in creating consistent digital and print reports for high-level donors, providing up-to-date, detailed, and personalized information about their gifts.Support ongoing efforts and devise new strategies to engage principal gift prospects, exploring opportunities to sustain their interest.Integrate donor relations best practices into the overall efforts of the principal gifts team.Maintain reporting in office databases around stewardship activities and communications.Work directly with the Associate Director for Campaign Operations to monitor and improve reports on the principal gift pool.Qualifications:Required:Minimum of two years of professional experience in donor relations, stewardship, or a related field.Excellent verbal, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.Proven experience with high-level donors, successfully building and maintaining relationships.High level of creativity and innovation in developing engaging materials and communications.Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.Willingness to adopt a collaborative approach and foster respectful communication.Availability for occasional evening and weekend work.Preferred:Experience in the higher education industry or as a personal/executive assistant.Direct experience in event planning.Direct experience with proposal writing.Familiarity with principal gift fundraising.Proficiency with CRM databases and data-reporting tools.Compensation:
The starting annual base salary range for this position is $58,460-$68,300.
