Quality Inspector

To learn more about our company culture, philosophy, and benefits, please visit our company page.Responsibilities:Oversee/conduct inspection for a wide variety of parts as well as finished goods to guarantee that all our products meet quality specifications.Perform regular product evaluations, record inspection results, and recommend improvements to the production process.Demonstrate great attention to detail with excellent technical and analytical abilities.Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations and if necessary, form and implement a containment plan.Read engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of parts/products and services.Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications.Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.Resolve quality-related issues with a sense of urgency and in a timely manner.Exhibit teamwork and self-management.Follow all safety procedures and policies.Work overtime, flexible schedules, and weekends as required.Position Requirements:A High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.At least two (2) years of experience in a quality-related position, OR two (2) years of trade school experience in a quality-related field or a four (4) year degree.At least one (1) year of hands-on experience with mechanical systems or related experience.At least one (1) year of experience performing Component and Equipment Inspections or related experience.At least one (1) year experience working with engineering drawings, blueprints and CAD models or related experience.Proficient in MS Word and Excel.Strong math skills, analytical abilities, and technical aptitude.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work in a dynamic environment and under the pressure of deadlines.Must possess strong attention to detail and sense of urgency to respond to issues.Ability to travel 20%, including on weekends and holidays.Ability to lift 45 pounds or greater.A Valid Driver’s License required.Preferred Requirements:Experience in an equipment engineer-to-order and assemble-to-order manufacturing environment.Possess an ASQ or equivalent certification.Strong understanding of Quality Control Standards and Testing Techniques.Experience in a mass production inspection environment.Experience implementing SPC and/or six-sigma concepts.Knowledge of best practices for the Quality Assurance function in a Manufacturing environment.Experience with quality tools such as CMM or other measuring systems.Certification in quality control.
