This position reports to the Materials Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties of Decostar as described below.Your Responsibilities
Establish relationships with suppliers, hold supplier meetings, effective communication reviewing open purchase orders and delivery schedules.Analyze customer demand material requirements and order material from suppliers, scheduling material to be built on the production floor.Review materials planning for the product groups assigned, issue purchase orders to suppliers, send forecasts, and daily track inbound material ensuring on-time arrival.Work directly with Suppliers and other Magna plants on material requirements.Participate in daily production meetings to communicate current inventory levels, schedule compliance, and other operating parameters.Who we are looking for
Highly proficient in Excel to include Macros and Reporting.Demonstrate organizational, communication, problem solving, and people skills.Must have strong math skills.Your preferred qualifications
Minimum three years’ experience in a fast-paced work environment with scheduling and materials management responsibilities.An A.S. Degree or some college is preferred but high school GED or diploma along with diversified procurement and negotiation experience will be accepted in lieu of the degree.Must have strong computer platform skills.
