As a member of the Materials team, your responsibilities encompass overseeing traffic and customs requirements, coordinating inbound shipments, preparing USMCA Certificates of Origin, AALA certificates, Cafe Content Breakdown reports, and Manufacturer's Affidavits for Co-Ex-Tec customers. Additionally, you hold the authority to approve all freight invoices and engage in negotiations concerning transportation fees and contracts.Your Responsibilities
Responsible for overall traffic and customs requirements.Check and approve freight invoices; check and verify Canadian Customs Broker entries.Complete USMCA Certificates of Origin, AALA (American Automobile Labelling Act) certificates, Cafe Content Breakdown and Manufacturer’s Affidavit for Co-Ex-Tec customers.Arrange expedite shipments upon request from various departments.Dispatch local driver and/or arrange pick ups of various types, couriers, LTL, TL, local cartage etc.Obtain expedite alert forms from various departments and chart inbound premium freight.Negotiate discounts and special rates with carriers and customs brokers.Prepare export documentation for returns, machinery, etc.Request USMCA Certificates of Origin from suppliers.Negotiate transportation rates with vendors/freight carriers.Co-ordinate audits performed by Canada Customs drawback investigator.Process refunds, amends, duty drawbacks, file rulings and remission applications.Any other reasonable duty required by Management.Who we are looking for
Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent; Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma, preferred.Knowledge of freight/transportation, customs rules/classifications; Customs Brokers Certificate, preferable.Familiar with freight/transportation business; USMCA agreement and impact on automotive industry.Your preferred qualifications
Well-developed communication, organizational, interpersonal and analytical abilities.Sound computer skills, including knowledge of software in current use.Professional in dealing with internal/external customers.Understanding of lean manufacturing, an asset.What we offer
