Job Overview:
We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all materials, components, and services provided by suppliers meet our stringent quality standards. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our supply chain's integrity and performance, contributing to our commitment to excellence in chemical manufacturing.Key Responsibilities:Supplier Evaluation:
Conduct thorough assessments and audits of existing and potential suppliers to evaluate their quality systems, processes, and capabilities.
Quality Assurance:
Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal specifications.
Performance Monitoring:
Track supplier performance metrics, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Root Cause Analysis:
Investigate non-conformance issues, lead root cause analysis efforts, and collaborate with suppliers to develop effective corrective and preventive actions.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, production, and R&D to ensure alignment on quality expectations and supplier performance.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of supplier quality assessments, audits, and corrective actions in accordance with company policies.
Training and Development:
Provide training and support to suppliers on quality requirements and best practices.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on relevant industry standards and regulations, ensuring that all supplier practices comply with legal and safety requirements.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering, preferably in the chemical manufacturing sector.
Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, etc.) and quality tools (FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma, etc.).
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and suppliers.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
