What you will doAs a Senior Associate, you'll continue to develop core consulting skills and participate in every phase of a consulting engagement, from pre-proposal research to final implementation. You’ll benefit from a structured learning curriculum and a dedicated mentor to support your success and career progression.
After your orientation, you'll join a project team, potentially working on-site with clients. Your responsibilities will include sharing ideas, solving problems, and providing solutions in areas such as purchasing, supply chain management, business process outsourcing, and technology. This role will help you enhance your project management skills as you partner with clients to drive digital transformation, change management, and cost reduction initiatives. You'll also interact directly with clients to sharpen your communication and presentation skills while delivering world-class solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Build upon your core consulting skills across the full project lifecycle.
Develop strategic sourcing and process improvement solutions, from research to implementation.
Collaborate with clients on purchasing strategies, supply chain management, and technology implementation.
Support digital transformation, change management, and cost reduction initiatives.
Analyze client and industry data, generate proposals, and create deliverables.
Engage in consulting projects at GEP’s clients, focusing on procurement transformation and strategic sourcing.
Work with industry leaders and senior stakeholders to recommend and implement cutting-edge solutions that drive cost savings and improve performance for Fortune 500 clients.
Contribute to firm building via our Employee Community groups, intellectual capital and business development efforts.

Ongoing training to enhance client relationship management skills.
Opportunities to grow category knowledge to expert levels.
Diverse exposure to GEP’s clients across various industry verticals, including Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Automotive, and CPG.
Lateral career progression (upon proven capabilities) to GEP’s Global delivery roles in Supply Chain, Technology, and other Consulting areas.
What you should bringRequirements:
Proven academic excellence with candidates pursuing an MBA degree in business, economics, finance, supply chain or other STEM fields.
Must complete course requirements to graduate no later than June 30, 2025, as Senior Associates are expected to start in August 2025.
Excellent quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.
Strong academic, extracurricular and work experience in business or relevant industry areas are expected.
Highly motivated team player with the ability to work autonomously and utilize presentation and interpersonal skills daily.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite: including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (ability to create complex formulas and analyze large data sets).
Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
Full US work rights required (Green Card or US Citizen); must possess no later than Jan 1, 2025. We are unable to offer any sponsorship support for these roles.
Must be willing to travel up to 80% of the time based on client needs. This full-time, hybrid role is based in either our Chicago, IL, or Clark, NJ office, with Senior Associates having the option to choose their preferred location. You'll be expected to attend the office at least two days per week.
