At Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services, we are helping to create brighter, healthier futures for our patients and their families. We are the Piedmont Triad's only private psychiatric hospital meeting the chemical dependency illnesses and behavioral healthcare needs of those in our community.
Our 164-bed inpatient services for adolescents through senior adulthood offers comprehensive and individual assessments, psychiatric evaluation and medication stabilization, daily group therapy and personalized aftercare planning. We also offer a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program to ensure the continuum of care for our patients. Old Vineyard is accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. We are passionate about our work and are looking for individuals who share in this passion.
Position Duties:
Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and controls the operations of the Facilities Maintenance, Environmental Services/Housekeeping, and Information Services departments. Completes all duties and functions of the hospital Safety Officer. Maintains compliance with applicable regulatory agency requirements, including: The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), State and Local agencies, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), etc. Manages staff and contractors to adequately ensure and maintain the efficient and safe operation of all hospital buildings. Plans, predicts, maintains and repairs building and equipment. Manages operating and capital budgets.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including male and female adolescents and adults, as well as dually diagnosed adults. In absence of these qualifications upon hire, must demonstrate ability to learn these concepts and develop these skills within reasonable time frame via the organization’s orientation and training program.
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
Five (5) years hospital engineering management. Three (3) years of project management. Three (3) years of NFPA, TJC, CMS, OSHA, EPA, and state and local code standards. Three (3) years experience in the direct management of people.
Licensure/Certification:
Certified Healthcare Facility Manager certification preferred.
Skills:
Strong management skills. Organized, detail-oriented and results-driven. Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, Joint Commission and CMS standards, OSHA, EPA and state and local codes and standards. Good oral and written communication skills. Experience or working knowledge in all aspects of building trades including HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry. Project management experience. Must have clean driving record.
