The ideal candidate will ensure effective resource scheduling and utilization to maintain and improve project schedules and enhance overall operational efficiency.Duties and Responsibilities:Resource Allocation, Planning & Scheduling:
Assess subcontractor availability & project needs to assign resources effectively across various projects.Collaborate with Site Leads to understand project timelines and requirements, ensuring subcontractors are scheduled appropriately and plans are adjusted as things change on sites.Develop and maintain a resource allocation matrix to track subcontractor assignments and availability and align with project needs while minimizing downtime.
Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact for subcontractor planning & scheduling, fostering strong relationships to ensure open communication regarding project needs and availability.Liaise with site teams to address any resource-related issues promptly.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Track resource utilization and performance, providing regular reports to Procurement & Site Ops leadership on subcontractor workload, performance, availability & capacity.Identify potential resource conflicts and develop strategies to mitigate them, as well as flagging when additional subcontractors are needed.
Process Improvement:
Analyze resource management processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in resource management.
Minimum Qualifications:Proven experience in resource management or workforce planning, preferably in a multi-project environment.At least 5 years of general construction experience.At least 2 years of experience in the single-family construction industry, engaging with subcontractors, and interfacing with site teams.Project Management experience.The individual will be expected to be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the US construction field.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to speed, quality, and safety.Hunger to be part of a team interested in being the best.Strong internal drive & motivation, Bias for Action, and growth mindset.Ability to respectfully voice opinions, gracefully receive feedback, and collaboratively analyze and resolve problems.Preferred Qualifications:Certification in Project Management is a plus.Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.Knowledge of subcontractor management and procurement processes.Experience in industrialized construction.Experience at an early-stage or growth startup.Experience with lean, agile, or pull planning.Experience working with the Trades.What we offer:Opportunity to join an outstanding start-up team and grow a company from the ground up.Competitive salary package.Medical/dental/vision benefits.Equity in the company.$90,000 - $120,000 a yearAt Aro Homes, we are focused on building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
