A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate Attorney/Senior Counsel specializing in probate, trust, and estate law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in probate and trust litigation matters, with the ability to handle cases from inception through trial. The Senior Associate Attorney/Senior Counsel will provide comprehensive legal support, from researching legal issues to representing clients in probate courts.Responsibilities:

Research legal issues for trust and estate litigation matters.Draft pleadings, discovery, memoranda, motions, and other legal documents.Handle trust and estate litigation matters from inception through trial, including taking depositions, attending mediations, and settlement negotiations.Attend hearings regularly in the probate courts.Make independent decisions and advise clients on pre-litigation and litigation matters.Handle conservatorship or guardianship matters from initiation of proceedings to representation of conservators or guardians for the duration of these matters.Handle probate administrations from initiation of proceedings to discharge of personal representative.Consult and advise trustees or beneficiaries on trust administration.Undertake other projects, as assigned.Requirements:

Demonstrated interest in probate, trust, and estate law.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage cases and clients independently.5 years of demonstrated probate and trust litigation experience required.Education and Certifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Admission to the California State Bar.Skills:

In-depth knowledge of probate, trust, and estate law.Proficiency in legal research and writing.Litigation skills, including experience in taking depositions and attending trials.Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice.Familiarity with probate court procedures.Strong negotiation and dispute-resolution skills.Client-focused approach and excellent client management abilities.
