We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious, fast-paced, and hard-working business passionate with a background in cell & molecular biology, and an excellent knowledge base around neurological and motor neurological diseases who is interested in building a career in the high growth personalized medicine, regenerative medicine, and cell & gene therapy market segments of the life science / healthcare market.If you are intrigued in working in an international, competitive environment that strives to become the go-to company for human disease models, we’d like to get to know you.This newly generated position is based at iXCells Biotechnologies’ headquarters in San Diego and will directly report to the CEO of the company.Key Responsibilities
Profitably grow and extend the company’s iPSC portfolio of products and servicesDevelop product line strategy and roadmap for a portfolio of well characterized disease-specific iPSC-derived cells that meet customer expectations for human cell-based model systems needed in translational research, drug discovery and/or cell therapyLeverage iXCells’ business development team to develop efficient licensing & partnership strategies to build the portfolio of products and services.Develop business plans for iXCells’ new product and service innovations, including annual financial objectives, forecast, pricing, and margin optimizationsIdentify, analyze and articulate market trends and customer needsCompile intelligence and competitive landscaping analyses and benchmark iXCells solutions against those of competitors and market contendersEvaluate market and customer needs and liaise with iXCells’ science team to define new product and/or services innovationLiaise with iXCells’ sales & marketing department on market research activities and go-to-market strategies.Required Qualifications
Master or PhD in Neuroscience, Neurology or neurological and motor neurological diseasesHands-on experience in generating, editing and differentiating iPS cells and characterizing iPSC-derived cell typesExcellent understanding of the biology and genetics of neurological and motor neurological diseases3+ years of experience in product management in a life science tool, cell biology, drug screening or cell therapy companyExcellent understanding of the competitive landscape in the iPSC spacePersonality, Skills, AbilitiesStrategic thinker with hands-on attitude and a talent to executeSelf-motivated with a change-the-world and can-do attitudeHighest quality, best-in-class mindset and aspirationResilient and able to overcome obstaclesDelivering on commitments, goal-oriented and data-drivenExcellent communications and presentation skillsCollaborative approach embracing teamworkSkills to align stakeholders around the vision for the product and service roadmapThe annual base salary range for this position, based in San Diego, is estimated to be
