Position Summary:
The Director of Investor Relations and Strategic Initiatives will serve as a bridge between investors and portfolio company operations, contributing to capital formation efforts and the successful execution of strategic initiatives. This position requires a leader with strong financial acumen, an ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, and a knack for turning high-level strategy into actionable plans. Reporting to the CEO, you will work directly with executive leadership across the Growth Partners’ ecosystem, helping to manage investor relationships, secure capital, and drive key business development projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, an effective communicator, and a strategic thinker with experience in both investor relations and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Investor Relations (50%):
Fundraising Progress & Investor Sentiment: Track and report on the status of fundraising efforts, including current commitments, prospective investors, and anticipated closings. Compile investor sentiment reports that highlight concerns or opportunities affecting the firm’s strategy and relations.
CRM Management & Investor Segmentation: Maintain a comprehensive CRM system, documenting investor interactions, preferences, and communication history. Segment the investor base by investment size, interest areas, and engagement level to tailor communication strategies effectively.
Fundraising Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with leadership to support the development of fundraising strategies that align with long-term goals. Assist in identifying potential investors and creating targeted approaches to meet capital formation objectives.
Marketing Materials & Investor Collateral: Develop high-quality pitch books, presentations, teasers, fact sheets, and PPMs that clearly articulate the firm’s investment strategy, track record, and value proposition. Ensure materials resonate with diverse investor segments.
Reporting & Investor Communication: Produce quarterly and annual reports that provide updates on portfolio performance (including compliance reporting), market conditions, and strategic outlook. Coordinate investor events, meetings, AGMs, webinars, and one-on-one sessions to maintain clear, transparent communication with investors.
Event Planning & Execution: Coordinate, plan and execute investor meetings, ensuring that materials, presentations, and logistics are handled seamlessly to optimize both the executive leadership team and investor experience.
Strategic Initiatives (50%):
Cross-Portfolio Growth Initiatives: Lead high-impact, cross-functional projects that drive growth, operational efficiencies, and innovation across the portfolio companies. This includes hands-on support in strategy execution, resource allocation, and monitoring project outcomes.
Ecosystem Development & Partnerships: Spearheaded the development of strategic partnerships with external organizations, industry groups, and stakeholders aligning with the company’s long-term vision. Actively seek opportunities to build partnerships that enhance the firm’s competitive position.
New Business & Market Opportunities: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on emerging trends, market opportunities, and competitive landscapes. Provide actionable insights that guide decision-making in business development efforts and capital deployment strategies.
Project Oversight & Execution: Take ownership of critical projects, from ideation through to execution, ensuring that timelines are met, and deliverables exceed expectations. Lead efforts to standardize processes and improve project management methodologies across the portfolio.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
5+ years of experience in investment relations, capital raising, and/or strategic initiatives.
Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Ability to balance multiple priorities and collaborate with senior leadership.
Candidates based in the following locations are preferred: Naples, Florida, Washington, D.C. Area, or Austin, Texas.
Compensation:
Base Salary: $120,000
Bonus Potential: Performance-based bonus available based on fundraising milestones and project success.
