This role will play a pivotal part in leading and developing a team of software engineers to deliver cutting-edge marketing technology solutions.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead, mentor, and grow a scrum team of experienced software engineers working on our Marketing Technology Platform. In this role, you will oversee the team's technical direction, foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, and drive the implementation of scalable solutions that integrate various MarTech, Intuit, and vendor technologies to solve business needs.
Intuit Mailchimp is a hybrid workplace, giving employees the opportunity to collaborate in person with team members in our Mountain View, CA office two or more days per week.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering their growth and ensuring high performance Collaborate with Product Managers to define technology strategy and architecture for key marketing capabilities Oversee the evaluation of vendors and make build vs. buy decisions in partnership with Product Managers Drive the team towards adopting best practices in software development, testing, and deployment Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure on-time and high-quality product releases Facilitate cross-team collaboration and communication to drive organizational goals Cultivate a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the team Participate in hiring and retention efforts to build and maintain a strong engineering team Provide regular performance feedback and career development guidance to team members Represent the engineering team in leadership meetings and contribute to broader organizational strategies At a Minimum We'd Like You To Have: 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a management role Strong technical background with hands-on experience in building scalable, resilient, and observable distributed systems Proven track record of successfully leading and growing engineering teams Experience in setting technical vision and strategy aligned with business goals Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams It's Preferred If You Have One Or More Of: Experience driving collaboration across organizational boundaries, building multi-dimensional relationships, and importing and exporting ideas to achieve broad organizational goals Knowledge of AI and ML, with a strategic and innovative mindset to enable AI and GenAI into platform capabilities Prior experience with Marketing technologies Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices Track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent
