Biotechnology company is hiring a talented and highly motivated Computational Scientist with a strong background in computational biology or cancer immunology. The candidate will support personalized cancer immunotherapy research in the Oncology Bioinformatics team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in bioinformatics, data science, or data engineering, preferably in MHC genomics, target and neoantigen discovery and selection. This is a 13-month contract position; onsite or hybrid position in PST.ResponsibilitiesMaintain bioinformatics and data infrastructure for research projects related to individualized cancer immunotherapy.Collaborate with computational biologists, AI scientists and engineers.Maintain excellent documentation, and data analysis practices to ensure reproducible data science.Present findings to the Cancer Immunogenomics group and collaborators.QualificationsPhD (or Master's with significant experience) in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics or a related field.Extensive experience in data and bioinformatics infrastructure (including curation, databases and workflows), particularly for Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning Projects.Solid understanding of the relevant concepts in cancer immunology and enthusiasm for learning more.Broad understanding of data generated from one or more molecular assays: next generation sequencing platforms, ELIspot, mass spectrometry etc.Proficiency in R, Python, and shell scripting.Experience working with Git and high-performance computing.High self-motivation and commitment to delivering high-quality results.Experience working as part of multiple high-performance teams.Preferable experience in complex data analysis and/or modeling in MHC genomics and/or cancer immunology, particularly in cancer vaccine and cell therapy research.Preferable experience in AI/ML and/or statistical modeling.Salary$104,583-$168,126R&D Partners is an equal-opportunity employer.
