The position requires having a strong understanding of network infrastructure and networking hardware. In this role, your duties will include leading various projects to support MDA business initiatives, analyzing network performance, providing network support, and performing system maintenance tasks. You will also need to be able to implement, administer, support and troubleshoot network technologies such as wireless, network security firewalls, network switches, secure web gateways, and routers. A deep knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols is highly desired.Job Responsibilities:Leads Networking projects to support MDA IT initiativesProactively suggests, tests, and executes enhancements to existing networking and security configuration, technologies and proceduresAnalyzes and monitors network performance to anticipate growthImplements, documents and support new IT networking and security technologiesProvides networking support to MDA ProjectsPerforms analysis, diagnosis, administration, monitoring, patching and support of complex LAN and WAN architecturesOperational day-to-day support of networking and security environmentsJob Required Qualifications:Bachelor degree in information technology related field of study with a network engineering focusAt least 5 years of proven experience as an Intermediate Network Engineer/Analyst with experience in designing, configuring, and maintaining Enterprise LAN and WAN, Firewalls, Wireless, Secure Web GatewaysStrong communication, interpersonal, presentation and technical skillsExtensive knowledge of network connectivity, technologies, protocols, and security.Ability to think through problems and visualize solutionsAbility to implement, support, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access, firewall, routers, switchesAbility to create high-level and low-level network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systemsAbility to quickly learn and adapt new networking and security technologiesAbility to prioritize tasks with minimal supervisionStrong work ethic, highly motivated, positive thinker, and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in teamsTravel to other MDA offices will be requiredFlexible to work after business hours to address operational support tasksJob Preferred Qualifications:Experience with WAN, LAN, Firewalls, SDN, SD-WAN, Secure Web Gateways, Network Access ControlExperience with Network Monitoring SolutionsExperience in configuring and managing Public Cloud-Based NetworksExperience in managing Cisco-Based LAN and WAN solutionsExperience in managing HPE/Aruba Wireless and Security solutionsExperience in managing SASE solutions such as ZscalerExperience in networking automation toolsCertifications such as CCNP, GIAC or equivalent is preferredSuccessful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.MDA provides competitive compensation and benefits packages for its employees at all locations.
