Customer Service Representative

to handle Participant and Provider calls regarding the Narrow Network and communicate with participants and providers’ offices about benefits.

Please note this position works onsite in our office in Studio City, CA. Qualified candidates only, please submit letter of interest with resume and salary requirements for consideration.MPI offers free employee health, dental, vision and life insurance ($50/month for family coverage), retirement and pension, and generous paid time off.Responsibilities:Document issues and actions effectively and efficiently utilizing internal systems.Make outbound calls to our participants and/or providers regarding the status of a referral.Contact providers requesting additional information (medical records, consultation notes, progress notes, and prescriptions).Answer a high volume of provider and participant referral inquiries by phone, email, or Unity.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:High school Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.Minimum 2 years of customer service phone experience required.Minimum 1 year of healthcare/insurance experience a plus.Experience in the motion picture health plan industry a plus.Accurate typing skills of 45 wpm, 10 key skills by touch preferred.Intermediate PC skills, including Windows; MS Word and MS Excel.Clear and effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain and confirm understanding of complex issues.Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.Pleasant and professional telephone etiquette. Articulate, clear telephone voice.Able to handle fast-paced work and meet deadlines.Motivated self-starter, well organized in managing time and materials.Strong attention to detail, a high level of accuracy required.Able to learn quickly and follow through to completion.Good interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with callers and co-workers at all levels of the organization.A flexible team player with a positive, cooperative, and helpful attitude and displays excellent collaboration skills.Excellent attendance and reliability, with the ability to work extended hours as required.Ability to accept direction and developmental guidance from supervisor.Submissions will be reviewed; only candidates most closely matching the requirements of the position will be contacted.Please note, this is an onsite position at our offices in Studio City, CA.
