Associate Director
will develop and drive a team to implement a Global sourcing strategy for IT and Telecom Services in support of Carrier’s long-term goals, including improving efficiency, reducing risk, and increasing value.The IT and Telecom Services includes a broad array of categories from Software, Hardware, Data and Security services, Telecom. Considerable and continuous emphasis will be placed on aligning with stakeholders and managing the corresponding supply base to develop solid global arrangements for optimum cost reduction and efficiency.This Category is highly complex in nature and requires a close collaboration with key stakeholders at every level of the organization to execute. This individual will provide oversight for end-to-end category leadership such as strategy development, maintaining key relationships within the business, and managing key supplier relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership and category oversight to include sourcing execution, negotiations, contract implementation and performance against established targets.Manage supplier relationships, communicate changes to category strategy, execute joint collaborative initiatives, and monitor supplier contract negotiations.Develop preferred supplier program with a goal of continuous improvement.Operational and spend analysis, development and execution of annual sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, supplier performance management & operational support.Build and maintain relationships throughout every level of the organization, that results in dynamic interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical to identify sourcing needs and leading to the development of optimal approaches and solutions.Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis, performance management, provide end to end value, and bring innovation to the business.Identifies business demand requirements and partners with Business Units to deliver annual value improvements and drive competitive advantage.Responsible for overall relationship with multiple strategic accounts across a given category.Leads sourcing process from RFx to contract signature.Ensures supplier or commodity is performing to the designed requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective through established governance programs.Identify, develop and direct the implementation of supply chain goals and category strategies, based on deep subject matter expertise and an understanding of industry/market dynamics.Escalate issues that may impact the supply chain organization and effectively manage issues.Strong project management capabilities to effectively support multiple initiatives, program and spend tracking.Committed to supporting supplier diversity and other important supply chain initiatives.Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management OR Master’s Degree with 7+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.Preferred QualificationsMBA or advanced level degree.Ability to lead a global team to achieve results through leadership & influence.Consultancy and Services Procurement Experience.Ability to exercise independent business judgment to drive strategy and results.Ability to excel in a dynamic environment.Ability to lead analysis and resolution of complex problems where success requires the evaluation of both tangible and intangible variables.Strong communication skills and business acumen.Carrier is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
