The Ocean Community YMCA located in beautiful Southern Rhode Island, is seeking an Associate Executive Director for our Westerly-Pawcatuck Branch.
This is full-time exempt position with a salary range of $70,000-$78,000 per year.
The successful candidate will:
Develop, manage, and monitor the branch operating budget and meet or exceed budget targets.
Play a leadership role in the annual support campaign and special events by making sure all staff and volunteers work effectively together.
Be a sound fiscal manager generating income from membership dues, program fees and contributions to conduct the work of the branch efficiently and effectively.
Ensure that membership growth and program development relate to community needs and the mission of the association.
Oversee the hiring, training, and supervision of staff using leadership skills to recruit and develop cause driven staff that is member and service focused.
Execute the branch's strategic planning efforts which include multiyear plans as well as annual.
Ensure the safety of all members and staff by providing safe, clean, and well-maintained facilities, property, and equipment.
Be an ambassador by representing and promoting the YMCA in the local community and develop and maintain positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and community members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus 5-10 years of successful operational and management experience
Non-Profit experience (YMCA experience preferred)
Proven track record of successful fundraising
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong computer skills
