We embrace forward-thinking and we promote learning, cross-team collaboration, and continuous improvement in several different ways.Job SummaryThe Paper Category Manager (CM) is responsible for leading RRD’s strategic focus for paper and related materials. RRD’s production platform uses all types of paper for printed communications (UFS, CFS, CGW, UGW, and other specialties). The CM needs to understand all aspects of these direct materials and will be relied upon to actively manage the category. This role will work closely with stakeholders, at all levels, to understand business priorities and implement strategies that will lower TCO.ResponsibilitiesResponsibility for strategic planning, developing, communicating, and implementing procurement category strategies for the Paper Services team.Partner with key stakeholders to understand strategic business needs and implement TCO strategies that will help our clients to be successful.Develop a base of domestic and international suppliers who can meet current and future needs.Use cost models and benchmarking analysis tools to evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning.Negotiate and manage agreements with KPI, SLA, and Continuous Improvement efficiencies.Develop and sustain strategic relationships with key diverse suppliers.Optimization of materials and forecasting future needs to support BU.QualificationsCollege degree preferred or demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements.10+ years experience in Procurement working directly with suppliers, vendors and/or manufacturers.7+ years experience in direct material paper services or related fields.Demonstrated ability to build internal and external strategic partnerships.High proficiency in computer skills, especially procurement systems, Google enterprise suite, and aptitude to learn additional systems.Experience with enterprise Procurement systems including SAP & Ariba is a plus.Good analytical and computational skills for price evaluations, spend analysis, and data management.Strong collaboration skills and must be a self starter.Additional InformationThe national pay range for this role is $88,200 – $156,800. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. RRD offers benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus tuition assistance, maternity leave, adoption assistance, and employer/partner discounts.
