POSITION SUMMARYThe Commissioning Manager is responsible for leading and managing the commissioning process, establishing project milestones and identifying critical paths to accomplish successful integration of commissioning activities.
What you’ll do:Manages quality control process for various projectsPartners with owners’ agent to meet start-up and integration requirementsOversees commissioning process at the project siteDevelop and maintain QA/QC project level standardCoordinates equipment startup dates and schedules with vendors as requiredPartners with QA to ensure systems and equipment will be ready for startup and commissioningSchedules and attends commissioning meetings and works with Manager to resolve issuesMonitors team and validates project work to ensure all work is included in contract documentsOversees QA Coordinator to ensure inspections and reports are timelyAdminister BIM 360 Field and ensure team is utilizing BIM 360 field tool to update startup and commissioning items and communicate to applicable managementProvides training to project crew as neededOversees and submits required documentation of tests and final inspections to secure acceptance of installed systems and ensures owner trainingPartners with on-site personnel to provide and manage equipment and systems for timely completion of scheduled tasksProvides troubleshooting and problem solving as neededMonitors status of projects and incorporates approved changes as neededPartners with Detailing to ensure accurate install/fab and as-built drawingsCoaches, mentors, and develops staff; provides performance feedbackWhat you’ll need to be successful:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent leadership skillsAbility to set deadlines and adhere to project schedulesExcellent attention to detailAbility to coordinate projectsExcellent ability to multi-task and prioritizeExcellent working knowledge of HVAC and control systems requiredGeneral construction project work-flow knowledgeAbility to motivate and lead employeesExcellent knowledge of BIM 360 Field toolWhat you bring to the table:BS or BA degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred, or applicable experience8+ years’ experience, including 3+ years’ people management
