Project team member responsible for: (1) providing construction project oversight using knowledge of general engineering and construction principles and practices to interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate and execute assignments as necessary to accomplish the goals and objectives defined by the client, (2) ensuring work is performed and completed in strict accordance with the contract documents, (3) acting as a technical advisor to the Owner and other team members, (4) teaching and mentoring less experienced engineers and other team members, (5) proposal preparation and other business development related activities, and (6) other tasks as may be required.Responsible for delivering for assigned projects including scope, schedule and budget.Essential functions and responsibilitiesProposal development/preparation for new business pursuits and other business development related activitiesRecruitment/hiring of new CM staffDevelop Project Management Plans (PMP) for assigned projectsProvide construction management oversight during all phases of the projectCreate and maintain project schedulesPrepare and update cost estimatesPrepare and maintain project budgetsDevelop and implement project specific QA programsManage sub-consultants and technical resourcesCoordinate and interface with the client and project teamPrepare bid packages and assist with contractor procurementDevelop and coordinate project scopesOversee and manage assigned staffPrepare, monitor and update schedules and budgetsDevelop and prepare extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposalsReview and approve contractor invoicingPrepare client invoicesParticipate in client presentationsCoordinate and assist Section Heads, Office Managers, and Practice Leaders with marketing proposalsNonessential functions and responsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assignedRequired Skills

Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screeningStrong in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsStrong work ethic. Willing to do what it takes to get the job doneRequired Experience

10+ years’ experience in a construction related disciplinePreferred ExperienceBachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, architectural or a related field from an accredited engineering, construction management or architectural program (highly desired)Professional Engineer LicenseCCM (highly desired)LEED APOSHA CertificationsExperience working with city, county state or federal governmental agenciesProject management and business development experienceExperience with various project delivery methods i.e. Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3Experience managing multidiscipline project teamsWorking ConditionsWork is performed in both an office and field (construction) environment. Field work requires climbing, walking and standing at a construction site and may be outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
