Key areas of accountability include scheduling of materials, generating requisitions, controlling inventory, and eliminating parts shortages.SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES

Essential Functions (Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.)Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Pro-actively lead the materials team to continuously improve processes and procedures to ensure availability of materials required for Production.Identify and eliminate root causes of parts shortages.Analyze suggested orders and schedule discrepancies.Resolve MRP related issues and take appropriate corrective actions to prevent similar issues.Manage and ensure timely receipt of materials to support the Production schedule.Provide continual improvement of the Planning and reporting processes including KPI's.Implement the use of the ABCD philosophy in planning for materials to minimize inventory and maximize inventory turns.Must possess good oral and written communication skills.Manage and supervise the Material Planners, Development Program Planners, and Master Scheduler.Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethics code and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the department.GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and ExperienceEducation:A Bachelor’s degree is required.Experience:5+ years of direct experience in Materials Planning and ERP/MRP systems.Skills:Extracting PLM eBOM and conversion to mBOM as input to ERP/MRP system.Advance material order procurement ahead of final-release eBOM.Preferred Skills/Experience:Related work experience in an Engineered-to-Order (ETO) environment.Other:Extended or irregular hours may be required.Must be authorized to work in the United States.Adient Aerospace is an “at-will” employer; employment is at the mutual consent of both the employee and the employer, and may be terminated at will for any reason, with or without cause, at any time during employment with the Company.As business conditions warrant a change in the operating necessities of the Company, all employees are expected to react productively, handle other essential tasks assigned now or in the future.Tasks may vary slightly based on products produced at a division.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.CERTIFICATES AND LICENSESAPICS certification.SUPERVISION PROVIDED TO THE POSITIONDirection with necessary guidance is provided in terms of tasks and craftsmanship and measured based upon how well tasks have been completed.
