Location: 1 Convoy Drive, Springfield, MO, 65802, United StatesEmployee Type: ExemptContact Information:Name: Josh SolomonMinistry Function:The Regional Distribution Center Director – East supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by overseeing the RDC-East functions, including daily operations, partner and potential partner visits, communications with the World Distribution Center, assistance with projects, and ensuring safety is a top priority for visitors and team members.Key Responsibilities:Oversees the team members and daily operations of the RDC, including supervising team members and assignments, managing all inbound and outbound loads, and maintaining a safe and drug-free environment.Maintains responsibility for all functions, including transportation, inventory management, warehousing, fulfillment, shipping, and facilities/maintenance.Hosts and serves donor/partner relationships in collaboration with Development and Network teams.Serves as the primary liaison for communication between the RDC and World Distribution Center.Facilitates Hope Crew setup and teardown, ensuring inventory accuracy and reporting.Follows general and equipment-specific safety rules, making safety a top priority.Fulfills other duties as requested.Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.Five or more years of leadership/supervisory experience is required.Forklift certification and ability to drive other warehouse equipment is preferred.Current Commercial Driver’s License is preferred; a Class B license is required.Knowledge and experience with Warehouse Management Systems is preferred.Demonstrates ability to positively contribute to team projects and cooperate with team members.Ability to periodically lift in excess of 50 pounds (infrequently).Displays strong leadership and motivational skills for effectively supervising team members.Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities.Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture and develop resource opportunities.Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope to all outside constituencies.Embraces the organization’s religious purposes and demonstrates its Statement of Faith in daily life.Supervisory Responsibilities:This position regularly supervises RDC staff and volunteers.
