With Financial Lines being a core product line and Cyber a growth product line of AXA XL, the role provides excellent prospects for the Global Financial Lines & Cyber Underwriting, Senior Business Analyst to increase their profile and advance their career.The Global Financial Lines & Cyber Underwriting, Senior Business Analyst will be part of Global Financial Lines & Cyber Underwriting office and will be responsible for delivering time critical tasks, such as project portfolio update and development, project management, data analysis, spreadsheets, reporting and PowerPoint presentations and associated frameworks and controls.As client’s Financial Lines & Cyber exposures become more sophisticated, new emerging risks present and inflationary legal trends persist, the role of the Global Financial Lines & Cyber Underwriting, Senior Business Analyst will be critical to driving underwriting excellence across our Financial Lines & Cyber products and supporting the development of tailored solutions to address their complex risks, validating AXA XL’s reputation as a market leader.Essential Responsibilities
Deployment of Global Financial Lines & Cyber Product strategy and associated frameworks and controlsSupport GCUO Financial Lines & Cyber by utilizing MI database(s) to design tools, reports and advanced analysis to enhance decision making, reporting and enhance portfolio performanceProduce concise and effective business presentations and deliver with clear expectations and outcomesCoordination with Risk and Group to track/monitor and report on Global Financial Lines & Cyber portfolio aggregation, accumulation including GUL, claims trends and emerging risks, etc.Document deviances to Rules and Guidelines / Referrals e.g., systemic risks and associated exclusionsSupport GCUO in their governance functions, such as Internal Control validations; coordinating Independent Reviews; and Reinsurer AuditsWork with BU Operations to promote data qualityAdoption of appropriate collaboration tools to share best practice guidanceSupport strategic projects as required by Underwriting ManagementAd-hoc support in other areas of operations as requiredYou will report to the Global Head of Underwriting Management, Financial Lines & Cyber.Qualifications
Proven experience in and in-depth understanding of (re)insurance product lines and operationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Insurance and several years of relevant experience in a (re)insurance services capacityHigh level of proficiency in the use of data capture applications/tools, data analysis and bespoke application development to enhance portfolio analysis and reportingAbility to analyze and interpret data appropriately and identify trends in order to direct/engage with others as neededAct independently, think in global terms and demonstrate excellent business acumenEffective Collaborator: Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Provide guidance and seek input from others as needed to achieve the best result possible.
