Working closely with the media planning and strategy teams, we translate client goals and objectives into actionable data using internal agency or external client technologies such as DMPs and CDPs.The Director, Data Privacy Project Lead will specifically be responsible for overseeing all aspects of data privacy compliance and governance, particularly in relation to media partners, platforms, and audience/targeting data. This role will report up through the Data and Platform Solutions group, within Data & Analytics, but act as a critical liaison to Investment to ensure a consistent level of education and adherence.ResponsibilitiesOversee an organization’s adherence to data protection law.Ensure compliance with regulations like CCPA & MyHealthMyData Act, managing vendor privacy practices, and integrating privacy measures into overall agency strategy.Document & implement data privacy policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Collaborate with legal teams, conducting audits, and maintaining documentation to ensure robust data privacy and foster a privacy-aware organizational culture.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track alignment/agreement from data/media partners.Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.Provide guidance and training to staff on data privacy practices and protocols.Serve as the main point of contact and liaison for data privacy inquiries from clients, partners, and regulatory authorities.Stay up-to-date on developments in data privacy laws and regulations to ensure the agency's practices remain current and compliant.QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing, Media, Advertising, Data Privacy, Information Security, Legal Studies).Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification preferred.Proven experience in data privacy compliance within the media or advertising industry.Strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, MyHealthMyData and other relevant statutes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives.Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.If you are passionate about data privacy and have a strong background in compliance within the media industry, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity to lead our data privacy initiatives.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Veterans Encouraged to Apply.Compensation Range: $130,000 - $165,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
