We are seeking a Technical Support and AV Systems Integrator to provide a wide array of technical support to the campus community both via phone and in-person. This person is also the primary AV systems integrator for campus classrooms, event, and meeting spaces. They must exhibit an exceptional commitment to customer service and must be adaptable, self-directed, possess strong communication skills. and serve as a fully functioning member of the IT team.

Essential Job Duties
Support the IT service request system, to include evaluating, assigning, completing, advising and client follow up for incidents and service requestsInteract with campus users in person, via email, over the phone, and via remote support tools to quickly identify and resolve technical problemsServe as a consultant to advise users on maintaining technology and update departmental knowledgebaseAV Systems Integrator - Primary AV systems integrator for classrooms, meeting space, event space and athletics.Design, implement, and support AV systems to meet campus needs using industry standard best practicesServe as lead Extron control system programmerAbility to read and design schematic diagrams and design drawingsWork as part of a collaborative team to design, update, support campus classroom technology on a pre-determined replacement scheduleAbility to quickly respond to and solve classroom technology emergencies including, computer, projection, sound and relating equipment to fully support the teaching and learning environmentProvide a wide array of software support to include Microsoft and Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and various other software to support academic instruction and operationsAssess, repair and maintain networked printers and Multi-Function Copiers across campus and provide quick response for repair, supplies, and involving vendor services as neededAssist with preparation and execution of special events, including media services for commencement, orientation, alumni weekend, and other major events. Provide media support for various minor events, duties will include some weekend and evening events.Mentor student technicians providing on campus support and assist with development and ongoing training program for student techniciansRespond to unplanned circumstances that may interrupt services and use critical thinking skills to quickly identify and respond to problemsAssist in planning capital, operating, and project budgetsEvening and weekend hours, as requiredRequired Skills & Abilities
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while providing consistent and reliable customer serviceAbility to diagnose and replace hardware components in campus technologyExcellent communication skills to clearly and effectively assist peers, faculty, staff, and studentsAbility to work with people of differing backgrounds, skills and technological understandingAbility to work inclusively with a diverse team and serve a diverse clientelePassion for technology and able to remain current and be a lifelong learnerMinimum Qualifications
Associate's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and audio-video technology certification, installation, and support experience.Experience assisting with the design, installation and integration of AV technology into meeting, event, classroom, and athletics environmentsExperience with audio visual control systems such as Crestron, Extron, or AMX including installation, configuration, and programming. Extron experience is highly desirable.Experience providing technical support in various technology environments including Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, printers, etc.High attention to detail with the ability to make quick and accurate decisions.Preferred Qualifications
AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, and/or CTS-D CertificationExtron programming certificationFamiliarity with Microsoft SCCM, JAMF, and ITSM tools (preferably TeamDynamix)Experience providing technical support in a higher education environmentA+, HDI, SCCM/JAMF and/or other hardware and software support certifications
